Karen Buechele and Edward David Anderson

Songwriters Showcase

Karen is a songwriter, composer and poet. Her songs are wistful, humorous, & harmonic. She improvises on piano most weekends with local musicians and has written & performed in folk, blues, & country bands with a lifetime of stories lived here in the Driftless.

When Edward David Anderson sings of rolling sand hills, prickly pear cactus and a river that “flows like wine,” he takes us on a trip down a dusty country road. He has been featured on NPR’s World Cafe, has twice appeared on the nationally syndicated radio program Mountain Stage, as well as the PBS television show Sun Studio Sessions.

The event is free and open to the public, though donations are greatly appreciated to support the ongoing efforts to bring regional talent to the Center’s stage.

October 9, 2025, from 7-9 pm
