Songwriters Showcase - Lucas Perry and Greg Garing
Theater
Thursday, May 21, 2026
7-9pm
7-9pm
Singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist Lucas Perry moved to Elizabeth in 2022 and has quickly become a familiar name in the local music scene. With a catalog of nearly 40 original songs rooted in personal experience, Lucas explores relationships, heartbreak, friendships, family, and the changing seasons of life. Honest and story-driven, many are what Lucas calls “3 a.m. songs” — the kind that come when sleep won’t come until the words are written down.
Restless and road-wise, Greg Garing has rambled through big cities and musical genres. Garing taps a deep vein of rural American soul music and transports it to the underbelly of modern urban nightlife in all its haunted, singular, never-say-die glory. It’s the same vein enriched by Bill Monroe, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash.
