Songwriters Showcase featuring Chellanie and Van Orman and Helwin

Theater
The Songwriters Showcase series celebrates the creation and performance of original music while giving audiences an opportunity to hear the stories and inspirations behind the songs.

Featured performer Chellanie is a Wisconsin-born singer-songwriter whose passion for music led her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she spent years developing her craft. Now back home near family, she continues to write and perform while maintaining strong ties to the Nashville music scene. Her music blends heartfelt storytelling with country influences, reflecting both her small-town roots and her experiences in Music City.

Also appearing are Van Orman and Helwin, whose eclectic performances feature songs of love and loss, ranging from the devout to the degenerate. Their inspired vocal harmonies are accompanied by a wide array of instruments, including guitars, gourd banjo, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, harmonium, concertina, harmonica, and jaw harp.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated and help support the Galena Center for the Arts’ ongoing efforts to showcase regional talent and original music.
