How do we find hope, resilience, and beauty in challenging times? Shine Light in Darkness explores the powerful ways art acts as a beacon. This exhibition showcases diverse artistic interpretations of finding warmth amidst the cold, uncovering hidden clarity, or using creativity as a tool for healing and social transformation. We welcomed literal interpretations of light contrasting with shadow, as well as abstract and conceptual takes on emotional, spiritual, or cultural resilience.
In celebration of Galena’s 200th anniversary, artists were also encouraged to explore themes of historical resilience, literal illumination, and personal perseverance.
