Join us to meet Ed, and hear about his art and life! Ed Martens has been a lifelong creator and calls Galena home--living and working in an 1840s house that also serves as his studio and workshop.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Art from Illinois State University and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he majored in sculpture and painting, and minored in film.

Ed has shared his passion for art through teaching at both Illinois State University and Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, offering courses in Drawing, Design, Sculpture, and Independent Studies in Art.

He also has run his own studio for commercial and ad art and a studio for architectural related and interior design.

At this special event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with Ed Martens. Come meet and support our local artists!
