Summit Street Singers rehearsals resume on Tuesday, September 16. And will be held weekly on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. throughout the season.
We welcome new singers high school age and up. Adults and students of all abilities (including beginners) are invited to join the Summit Street Singers, a community chorus that meets every two weeks.
The goal is to enjoy singing together. There is no audition process and singers do not have to be able to read music to join the group.
The ensemble is directed by Larry Cording with Kori Skidmore as accompanist and Melanie Hoffman assistant conductor.
The singers will perform at the Community Sing-Along in November at the Center for the Arts. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend.
To learn more about joining the Summit Street Singers, contact Carole Sullivan at 815-402-3111, email info@GalenaCenterfortheArts.com, or simply attend the first rehearsal on Tuesday, September 16.
The Summit Street Singers choral group offers local singers an opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships through music. Donations from chorus members are appreciated to help pay for the printed music. Members are encouraged to bring a notebook and a pencil to rehearsals.
Regular rehearsals: Tuesdays starting in September 16, 2025, from 7-8 pm
