Summit Street Singers

Community Chorus

Summit Street Singers will resume rehearsals starting on Feb. 10, directed by Larry Cording, with lots of new music to enjoy. All are welcome. Rehearsals begin at 7 pm on Tuesdays.

We welcome new singers high school age and up. Adults and students of all abilities (including beginners) are invited to join the Summit Street Singers, a community chorus that meets every two weeks.

The goal is to enjoy singing together. There is no audition process and singers do not have to be able to read music to join the group.

The ensemble is directed by Larry Cording with Kori Skidmore as accompanist and Melanie Hoffman assistant conductor.

To learn more about joining the Summit Street Singers, contact Carole Sullivan at 815-402-3111, email info@GalenaCenterfortheArts.com, or simply attend a rehearsal. The Summit Street Singers choral group offers local singers an opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships through music. Donations from chorus members are appreciated to help pay for the printed music. Members are encouraged to bring a notebook and a pencil to rehearsals.

Participants should enter through the lower door on the Rt. 20 side of the building.

Regular rehearsals: Tuesdays from 7-8 pm
