Bound to Last: Workshop in Coptic & Heritage Bookbinding

Learn the timeless art of Coptic bookbinding in this immersive, one-day workshop. Perfect for beginners and craft enthusiasts, this hands-on session guides you through creating your own durable, beautiful journals from scratch. Taught by Jennifer Mally.
Begin the morning by crafting your custom book covers. While the adhesive dries, the learning does not stop! Master three additional quick-binding techniques:

• Japanese stab binding for an elegant, eastern aesthetic.
• Classic pamphlet binding perfect for zines and notebooks.
• One-sheet folding to create miniature books instantly.

After a quick lunch break, we will assemble your main Coptic journal using your freshly dried covers. You will leave this workshop with four unique, handmade books and the skills to continue binding at home. No previous experience needed; all materials included.
