Pamela Hiatt
I was born and raised in Dubuque and worked as a Mail Carrier for 33 years. Since then, I have reinvented myself as an artist, and it has been an amazing journey!
I am inspired by the play and flow of light on any given subject and strive to breathe life into my paintings using color and brushstrokes to lead the eye.
Proud to be part of Plein Air Painters of Dubuque (PPODs), I am also a member of several national art organizations and have shown my work at The Galena Center For The Arts, Carnegie Stout Library, The Art Factory, Smokestack, and other local and online shows. At present, my work is hanging in an artists’ co-op called The Collective in Elkader, IA.
When I hold a paintbrush in my hand, I have a true, quiet joy in my heart. It is a feeling akin to meditation; comfort, peace, confidence in my place in the world and wonder at the beauty in it.
