Casey Klein

Casey Klein is a lifelong visual storyteller and photographer with a background in Radio Broadcast Journalism, sales, and marketing. She picked up the photography bug from her parents at a young age. “We traveled a lot as a family during summer vacations. Kodak traveled with us…”
Her Photography has appeared in several area publications including Illinois Country, Farm Life in the Tri States, Telegraph Herald Images and Iconic Iowa, PBS Foundation. Her favorite subject matter is nature and the “real world.” She shoots a Nikon COOLPIX L840 and 500 Bridge Camera.
Referencing how art has influenced her life, she states, “Seeing life through the camera lens has provided a new opportunity to understand surroundings, important issues and offer a subjective platform to tell stories. Watercolor on the other hand…? WHOLE different ballgame. It’s like working without a net. I like that.”
She believes strongly in the power of art; “Collaboration is key. We do not walk on this earth alone. Galena Center for the Arts offers a safe, creative space to share visions, talents, ideas.
Casey’s many Dubuque Camera Club exhibits include the Dubuque Museum of Art, Monks and The Smokestack.
Working mostly in canvas and metal mediums, Casey’s art is currently on display at the Galena Center for the Arts and the East Dubuque District Library.
Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Casey lives in East Dubuque with her husband Jeff and their Dog Rosie. She owns and runs Cleaning by Casey.
