Becky Sisco
Becky Sisco cannot remember a time when she was not creating art of some sort. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loras College, and a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Dubuque. She started out in marketing and advertising because she thought it would be “creative.” Later, she entered journalism first as a freelance writer, then a reporter for the Telegraph Herald. She quit to write a book!
Her preferred subjects and mediums are digital photography of scenic, old farmsteads, abstract acrylic painting, and, of course, writing nonfiction and memoirs.
Seeing and reading art give her great pleasure, and she states that it “takes me out of myself.” She is constantly delighted and amazed by the art she sees at the Center and in other places.
