Galena ChalkFest
During this annual event, Galena Center for the Arts' lower parking lot is transformed into a giant work of art. Team and individual artists use their creativity to compete for prizes in five categories including a People's Choice Award.
The 2019 featured artist is John Schober, art teacher at the Galena School District. Spectators are welcome all day. Kids drawing zone. Music. Cookies and beverages available for sale. Award ceremony at 4:30 pm.

Individuals and teams of up to 4 people
Over 50 spaces available
$15 entry fee per individual or team
6x6 foot or 4x4 foot asphalt canvas spaces available
Spaces assigned first come, first serve; pre-registration encouraged
Entry fee includes box of chalk and sponge brushes for blending
Event day registrations accepted from 7:30-9:30 am
