Silent Sky

Table Reading

A Broad Ideas event.

With warm-hearted wit and infectious joy, Silent Sky tells the riveting true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering scientist in an age when women couldn’t even vote. Despite not being allowed to touch a telescope, Henrietta and her coworkers at the Harvard Observatory made ground-breaking discoveries about the universe that are still vital today, over a century later.

Featured actors in Silent Sky will be Emily Tepper, Alison Schoenrock, Kate Koziol and Ben Jenkins with Cathie Elsbree as narrator. The reading is directed by Carole Sullivan.

After the reading, the audience is invited to participate in a talkback about the play and its subject matter. Free childcare available during this performance.
