A Peak Into Nature

Student Art Exhibit

Galena High School National Art Honor Society (GHS NAHS) members are excited to announce their upcoming art show, A Peak Into Nature, with all artwork created around the idea of nature. To add a twist, all pieces are under 6 inches in size. This small show looks to create a big impact and will be up in the Youth Gallery for the month of November. Opening is Thursday, November 3, from 6-7pm. Please stop by, meet the students, see the artwork and young artists in our community.

National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is both service and academic based. In order to maintain membership, students must earn a B or higher in all their art classes, as well as complete 20 hour of art related community service throughout the school year. The GHS NAHS is part of the national chapter, follows all National Art Education Association rules, and is run by elected student officers. This year’s NAHS has just under 40 members and is sponsored by high school art teacher Irene Thraen-Borowski.
